School

School, something that I think that nobody really talks about that much. Incase, for some reason, you don’t know, what school is, is a place where kids go to get an education.

Usually, Kids don’t favor school, since they don’t like having work, or homework but, as every kid knows, its good for them. When I think of homework, I think it as a waste of time, since we are just repeated over and over again what we just learned. Even though this teaches us the subject more, the tasks get repetitive. An example of this is that when somebody is doing math, they have to repeat the same equation once, and then again in all the other questions. If you ask me, what I think a solution for this would be, is that we get a set of questions, (20-30), but we only have to do give of our choice.

Now, we can get onto the bright side of things. Academics are not the only part of school, there’s socializing. It’s always fun to come back from a weekend and say hi to your friends. You can meet new, or old friends their everyday. The great thing is, that we get plenty of time to socialize, these are before and after school, and our to breaks.

Last but not least, we get time to get physical. The opportunities are, one again, before and after school, our Lunch break, and, one of my favorite classes, Phys Ed. This is not only a change, but also a great one. We do different things such as play dodge ball, soccer, and Scotland ball. Always, One part of the term of our gym is health, which is where we learn about drugs, puberty, and other important things for pre-teens.

As you see, school is an important factor in life, as annoying as it can get. You always have to go the bad, to get to the good.

When I went to Eva Olsson’s presentation, I really wasn’t expecting anything great, but I was significantly incorrect. Her presentation was tremendously touching.

Every single little point got to me, but the fact that she had to see her mother die right there in front of her, almost made me cry. This impacted me enormously, making me so devastatingly sad. I remember after that she said, to always tell your family, I love you, which is true. I am guessing, not many people actually did that when they got home though. I didn’t either, since truly, I do that anyhow. I’m sure if Eva had the chance, she would give her life for her mothers, thinking of this, now I want to ask her so many questions. Asking the question, how do you think we should start these lessons, I think of the answer, that when we see somebody new, we either wave at them, or say hello, and be kind

One giant lesson that she told our school is to never use the word hate, but instead, replace it with, strongly dislike. What hate is, is another word disguising the work kill. Eva said that hate is one word that destroys civilization. It’s okay to not like someone, but not to hate someone.

For me, what I will remember for years to come from this presentation, is that to always tell your family you love them, since you might not always have that chance.
